Mark Farner is well known as a founding member and frontman for the 70’s rock group Grand Funk Railroad. In the late 80’s, due to the break up of his marriage, Farner re-explored his spiritual roots and rededicated his life to God. Looking for an outlet to express his faith musically, Farner signed with Frontline Records and released the highly successful Just Another Injustice in 1988 spawning the hit song “Isn’t It Amazing†The song peaked at #2 and finishing as one of the top songs of that year on CCM’s AC and CHR charts. The song was also nominated for Song of the Year at the Dove Awards. Farner went on to release two more studio projects – Wake Up and Some Kind Of Wonderful, a reworking of the old Grand Funk song “Some Kind Of Wonderful†which hit No.1 on CCM’s Rock chart in the summer of 1991.
